Ms. Malala Yousatzai - the magic child!

Ms. Malala Yousatzai

The holy bible says that people suffer because of lack of knowledge and understanding. But how then shall one get knowledge? How then shall one understand? Of course it can only be through education.

The choice of the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize winners reminds one of the calls of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ that we should allow the little children come to Him; for the kingdom of God is for them. Malala Yousafzai and Kailash Satyarth are jointly winners, but the much talked about is Malala. She is a 17year old Pakistani girl whose courage and determination to promote the girl child rights knows no tribe, race, or religion. Not discouraged by a group of evil gang (the Taliban) that almost took her life in her home country; Malala Yousafzai has trudged on and now stands out.

One can rightly say Malala and Kailash are true messengers of their faith/religion, Muslim (Malala) and the other Hindu (Kailash), they both are focused on the rights and education of the Girl Child, and this endeared the governing council of the Nobel Prize to award them the Peace Prize this year 2014. Their story is targeted at inspiring the desired change in a world earnestly seeking for peace and development.

I had routed for Pope Francis for the peace prize because of his exemplary humane and God fearing disposition towards current issues bedeviling mankind. But I think the choice of Malala and Kailash is very apt and germane. And even the Pope will agree and support the decision. The expectation of the governing council is to encourage all efforts in finding a new angle to solving the conflicts ravaging humanity especially through the eyes of innocent children, mostly the girl child.

If the Christ was around, what will He do? I am neither Muslim nor Hindu like Malala and Kailash, I am a follower of Christ, however, I wonder what the founders of Islam and the Hindu faith will do too at this time. What will they say concerning the kidnappers of our Chibok girls? What will they say concerning the Jihadists against a peaceful and developed human race? One can only wonder. But, I know that my Lord and Saviour will forever call evil always by its name. I trust He will call the non education of the girl child by its true name; an evil from the pit of hell!

So while we congratulate Malala and Kailash, the much more congratulatory message should rightfully go to the governing council of the Nobel Peace Prize for making the right choices at the most auspicious time.

May Malala and Kailash and their likes remain focused and encouraged to continue doing good and fighting for the rights of all children of the world! May their choice bring the required lasting peace to India and Pakistan! May this choice prick world leaders and touch the evil hearts of evil doers all over the world.
