As America battles the Ebola Virus,
there are lessons they must ensure they learn from Nigeria;
1.We are a people who
believe sincerely that “There is God”.
2. We are resilient workaholics.
3. Nigeria is a super power in Africa and expects America respects and develop a synergy with her for
the common good of all.
The Ebola Virus is not at any individual
or country’s mercy. We must all understand and agree that this is not a West
African disease alone, neither is it an African one; but a global epidemic that all
countries alike should unite and fight. This scourge is a threat to all! When we
faced it here in my country, we buried our differences and fought our common
enemy; hence we were able to stamp out this terrible disaster befalling
mankind today.
There should be no room for any iota
of panic. Victims should never be condemned or sentenced to death directly or indirectly by medical personnel. We should give them attention and all necessary medical and human assistance, as well as respected even in death.
America should not rely solely on
her medical scientists in the pride of the super power toga. Nations like Nigeria can be partnered and diplomatically
engaged to find lasting cure to this terrible human threat.
I’d expect that the Nigerian President,
Dr. Goodluck Jonathan is willing to extend diplomatic hand of fellowship to the American President, Mr. Barack Obama especially now. Our experienced medical teams are willing and ready whenever the American government concludes arrangements with our own government.
WE MUST TRUST IN GOD!
